The Alpavirama International Youth Film Festival is a biennial event organized by the Discipline of Film and Video Communication at the National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad, India. Established in 2011 as a South Asian Documentary and Short Film Festival, it expanded in 2022 to become an international festival inviting young filmmakers globally. The festival features the F 30/30 competition, which accepts films under 30 minutes by filmmakers under 30 years of age. Additionally, since 2022, Alpavirama has included Cine Bazaar, a marketplace for young filmmakers, and Audiophile, a competition for storytelling through sound. Beyond competitions, the festival offers masterclasses, workshops, seminars, and exhibitions.
