The Stockholm International Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Stockholm, Sweden, launched in 1990 by Git Scheynius, Kim Klein, and Ignas Shceynius. Occurring every November, the festival focuses on emerging and early career filmmakers, with approximately a third of its selected competition films being from debut directors or those with fewer than three features. The festival presents the prestigious Bronze Horse (Bronshästen) award for the winning film in the international competition section, along with other prizes. Beyond film screenings and premieres, it also hosts masterclasses, workshops, seminars, and outdoor cinema events.
