The Stockholm International Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Stockholm, Sweden, launched in 1990 by Git Scheynius, Kim Klein, and Ignas Shceynius. It is recognized for its focus on supporting new talents, with approximately a third of the films selected for competition made by debuting directors or those with fewer than three films. The festival awards various prizes, including the prestigious Bronze Horse (Bronshästen) for Best Film in its international competition. In addition to film screenings, it provides an industry platform with workshops, discussions, and seminars for filmmakers and professionals, and also hosts a public Summer Cinema.
