The Social Justice Film Festival (SJFF) is an annual event dedicated to showcasing films that address various social justice issues and inspire positive change. Based in Seattle, Washington, the festival began in 2013 and is presented by the Social Justice Film Institute, which received its 501c3 status in 2021. SJFF features documentaries, narratives, and short films from both the United States and international creators, exploring topics such as incarceration, Indigenous futures, immigrant rights, environmental sustainability, racial justice, gender equality, and economic disparity. The festival also includes panel discussions and speakers to complement the film screenings, aiming to educate, raise awareness, and foster community-building experiences to mobilize social change.
